tbh: I’m not at all happy to have this as part of my ‘official’ collection! It was clearly produced for a TV audience and I do not collect drama series or even TV-films.
However this one is currently (still) on my ever growing list of titles, which need further checking whether or not they fit my criteria of ‘Korean Film’ to be included in the collection. Since I already had it, when I narrowed down my collection, I left it in until I could make sure it doesn’t belong.
Apparently there is a small chance that this 3h+ version was screened theatrically in 1999. Off the top of my head: I had problems finding concrete infos for this title, but iirc it was produced as a 4-part series by MBC in 1996, but never broadcast due to contract disputes.
(going through part of my collection for this blog definitely shows how much I still have to work on it)
